Customer Sync is flat-file customer integration. A Customer Sync integration adds and updates customer connections in your JOOR account directly from your ERP.
Observing JOOR's best practices will enable fast and accurate data uploads.
Tips:
- Files must be generated by the ERP and may not be manually altered in any way.
- File format must meet JOOR requirements. You can find details here.
- Each file has the option to contain one header row of field names (each column representing one distinct field)e strongly recommend that it does.
- File name must be specified and consistent for the integration to be able to pick up new files. We recommend including the word “customer” along with a timestamp in your file name.
- After receiving a finalized file format, we recommend two weeks of testing by placing files on an FTP and reviewing changes on the JOOR website. This helps ensure all functionalities of the integration is working properly.
- Please note, new customers will take up to 72 hours to be validated and processed by our internal JOOR Data Team.
- We strongly recommend you to send your full customer list each time and not only those that have changed.
- We are able to process multiple file formats through Customer Sync. Our standard format features different rows for each billing and shipping address. We use a column (address_type) to indicate whether the row is a shipping or billing address and we recommend using pipes (|) as the delimiter.
- There are three acceptable templates for the customer data file:
Amendments to Customer Data
If amendments need to be made to the Customer Sync integration after it is live, this must be first communicated to your Customer Success Manager. Please also provide a sample file including changes you wish to implement and our team will ensure it is workable. This will be reviewed and an additional round of testing in the Sandbox environment will take place. After the JOOR team approves this modification, the production integration will be updated and the new files may be sent. After this is sent, updates to existing customers will be processed automatically as the data uploads run as frequently as once every hour depending on your integration schedule.
Reporting
Success and Error report emails are generated every time a file is processed via the integrations. If you and your team wish to receive these report emails, please specify the recipients’ email address/es and we will set them up accordingly. Please reach out to your dedicated Integration Manager.
